Romantic films are considered safe for a Bollywood debut but Aditya Narayan, son of singer Udit Narayan, has chosen Vikram Bhatt's horror film 'Shaapit' as his launch vehicle.

The film will see Aditya playing a young man, who sets out on a journey to find and destroy an evil spirit and lift a 300 year-old curse, which is stopping him from marrying the girl of his dreams.

"It is Vikram Bhatt's third horror film after 'Raaz' and '1920'. We are calling it an adventure, horror, love story because it is about the journey that I take. It is similar to Hollywood films like 'Indiana Jones' but while there are treasure hunts, I set out to find a ghost in 'Shaapit'," said Aditya.

"I play Aman in the movie, who is in love with Kaaya (Shweta) and wants to marry her.”
